Dental Insurance Coordinator

The Dental Insurance Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to our dental insurance customers & our administrative team.
This person will need to have excellent customer service skills and be able to resolve customer issues.
As an insurance coordinator, you would be responsible for managing patients' insurance eligibility and obtaining breakdowns day-to-day.
Requirements with Patients:
Knowledge of dental insurances guidelines and regulations Accurately verify dental insurance benefits & complete detailed insurance benefit breakdown Knowledge of Dentrix software Obtain current benefits, treatment history for an upcoming appointment Assist and discuss insurance details with patients Experience with credentialing doctors with dental insurance companies in a timely fashion - Responsible for submitting claims and pre determinations electronically, working on denials and unresolved claims and calling insurance companies as well as patients to follow up on claims.
Prepares, distributes, tracks correspondence and insurance including letters Enters and maintains information in databases, spreadsheets and issue tracking system Securely store and handle patient and doctor's records in compliance with HIPAA Follow up on non-responsive patients to provide further information as necessary Requirements with colleagues:
Collaborate with the Scheduling Coordinator and the development of payment plans for services not covered.
Keep manager informed of any patient issues during weekly meetings.
Work with scheduling coordinator to ensure accurate collections Great interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities are required to build rapport with staff and insurance carriers.
